Gopher Dunes Motocross Finals

I was doing a news story for Rogers today and I just so happened bring my Nikon camera along for a few shots.

It was my first time shooting a motocross event, I haven't done that many sports to begin with, and I had a lot of fun doing so. I first aimed to get some shots of the drivers doing jumps, then close-ups around the corners, then telephoto shots from afar. I don't think the photos came out terrible and really like several of them.

I aimed to get try and get the staple typical ones to see if I could capture those, I played around with my settings to see what worked best. I was juggling around between my big camera and my DSLR for the most part so I could get the footage that I needed. www.gopherdunes.com is the place to check out.

I'll have to try and do it again sometime next season, hopefully the weather will be as nice as it was today!

Check out the Gallery here.
